Mourning Bride
Leave her an offering. She'll leave you alone.
Available for adoption
She dressed for a wedding that never happened. Veiled in white and surrounded by the rituals of mourning, The Mourning Bride exists somewhere between bride, widow, and relic. Her display recreates a private ceremony for a union interrupted—or perhaps one that was never meant to involve the living at all. At the center sits the bride herself, still dressed for the occasion. Still waiting. The accompanying artifacts suggest grief became ritual, and ritual became something considerably harder to explain. Perhaps that is why she has remained dressed all these years. Every bride deserves someone waiting at the altar. This one has simply been waiting longer than most.
