Evelyn May
Don't remove her from the cradle, she wasn't put there for you
Available for adoption
EVELYN MAY — THE EMPTY CRADLE Evelyn May Hensley was only eleven months old when her remains were discovered on her family's property in 1892. Her mother refused to allow the child's empty cradle to be removed. Over the generations that followed, subsequent owners reported the same peculiar phenomenon: Something returned whenever the cradle was left empty. Eventually, someone discovered a solution. They placed another child inside. Not a real one. The doll you see today is not believed to be Evelyn. It is there so that whatever still visits the cradle believes its baby never left. So please— DO NOT REMOVE THE DOLL. It is not there for you.
