Devi

DEVI — THE WELCOMING ONE Most possessed objects want something from you. Devi only wants you to sit with her. Her history is uncertain. She reportedly surfaced among the contents of a private estate, already seated in the horned chair that now accompanies her. Attempts to display the doll separately were abandoned after caretakers repeatedly found her facing the empty chair—or with her arms repositioned as if inviting someone closer. Eventually, they stopped separating the two. Visitors describe an unusual sense of comfort around Devi. Some feel compelled to speak to her. Others report an overwhelming urge to take her hands. This behavior should not be encouraged. Because according to the final caretaker who kept Devi in his home, the doll isn't asking to be held. She's asking permission. The chair belongs to Devi. The invitation belongs to you. Do not accept it.
